Affected IE

Microsoft has warned about a flaw on the Internet Explorer browser that could allow hackers to take control of unprotected computers.
The bug allows hackers to inject malware onto any system if they manage to trick users into visiting booby-trapped websites. Anyone with Internet Explorer (IE) 6 to 8 is potentially affected.

The code to exploit the bug has already been published. The computer giant said there was no evidence it was being used yet by criminals but they were “investigating” and working on a permanent fix, reports the Daily Mail.
The bug targets how the browser manages a computer's memory when it is processing Cascade Style Sheets — which are design instructions that determine how most web pages look.
Hackers can inject their own code into the stream of instructions and in this way hijack the PC.
Although Microsoft has improved how memory management is protected, it does not work when some older parts of Windows are called on.
The bug first came to light on the seclists.org full disclosure mailing list earlier this month.

Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) - Ultra fast Microchip

In what could be called a major technological innovation, scientists have unveiled an ultra-fast chip which they claim could make desktop computers 20 times faster than the current ones.
Modern computers have a processor with two, four or sometimes 16 cores to carry out tasks. Now, a team, led by the University of Glasgow, has developed a central processing unit, which effectively has 1,000 cores on a single microchip.
The developments could usher in a new age of high-speed computing in the next few years for home users frustrated with slow—running systems; the new “super” computer is also much greener than modern machines, despite its high speed, say its developers.
The scientists used a chip called a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) which like all microchips contains millions of transistors —— tiny on—off switches that are the foundation of any electronic circuit, the Daily Mailreported.
But FPGAs can be configured into specific circuits by the user, rather than their function being set at a factory.
This enabled the team to divide up the transistors within the chip into small groups and ask each to perform a task.
By creating more than 1,000 mini-circuits within the FPGA chip, the scientists effectively turned the chip into a 1,000-core processor —— each core working on its own instructions.
The chip was able to process around five gigabytes of data per second in testing — making it approximately 20 times faster than modern computers.
Team leader Dr. Wim Vanderbauwhedea said: “FPGAs are not used within standard computers because they are fairly difficult to program but their processing power is huge while their energy consumption is very small because they are so much quicker —— so they are also a greener option.”
While most computers sold today now contain more than one processing core, which allows them to carry out different processes simultaneously, traditional multi-core processors must share access to a memory source, slowing the system down.
The scientists were able to make the processor faster by giving each core a certain amount of dedicated memory.
Dr. Vanderbauwhede said: “This is very early proof-of-concept work where we’re trying to demonstrate a convenient way to program FPGAs so that their potential to provide very fast processing power could be used much more widely in future computing and electronics.”

Different types of Advertisements.

Advertising is mainly promotion,it may be a product,a service or a person itself.Advertising is mainly for increase the sales of a product or a service offered or mainly to establish a new brand or the change in a new brand/service.Advertising has become more crucial in this modern corporate world,so the companies from the giants to Minos keep a considerable share of there revenue for advertising budget. Some of the main objectives of advertising are following.

Increase the sales of a product, which can be from salt to camphor, art to aircraft's
To make an everlasting frame of a brand in consumers mind.
To inform the change of an existing brand or introduction of new brand.

For this reasons advertising is very important and can be done through several methods according to categories of consumers.

Some categories are here

Media Advertising:
This include print media and visual media.
Print Media:Newspapers,Magazines,Fliers,Brochures etc.

Advertising in newspapers and magazines are common practice, the rates depends on the circulation, newspapers and magazines with a higher readership will charge more rate compared to a lesser one,the place & size  of advertisement appear,in front page cost more than an inner page advt.a full scape advertisement will be more expensive than a one column advertisement.Other than newspapers and magazines there are other types of print advertisements such as brochures, fliers etc.which can be distributed either through newspapers or can be done direct distribution to houses or in market itself.

Visual Advertisings:
This includes advertising via television,films,internet
Advertising in television is most common now a days and more interactive with families.the cost will be more than the print media and can be vary according to the popularity of the television channels and the time of advertisement,Prime/Peak,Internet advertisement has also become very common as the users had become more and more which is also cheaper.
Advertising in films is also known as covert advertising, like the use of unique brands by film heroes,eg.James bond's car.

Outdoor advertising or Out of home advertising:Digital sign-age,Billboards,Kiosks,trade shows,Events etc..
The billboards.kiosks etc. should be more eye-catching to attract people.Companies with huge budget for advertising can even sponsor a football team or cricket team to advertise their product.

Surrogate or Indirect advertising:
These types of advertising are made mainly for a product of which advertising is banned by law, like cigarettes or liquor.
Most of the liquor companies promote their brand name by the advertisement of same name mineral water or carbonated beverages.

These are some popular mode of ADVERTISEMENTS

Logo

What is a logo?
The logo is an image representative of a company or a product. The logo becomes "mark" when it is registered with a dedicated office and becomes an identification of one particular company or product.

It may be formed only by company name or the name and / or a slogan and / or an image. Often, the logo becomes almost more famous name, just enough so that the graphic symbol to identify the company.

The logo must reflect the theme, objectives and target the company or product, so it's always good to clarify through a briefing with the client all these issues and produce paper first drafts and ideas. It must also enclose a symbol or picture of the mission or characteristics of the product.

All major sports teams have their own logos, which shows their soul

Advertising is a form of communication intended to persuade an audience (viewers, readers or listeners)
to purchase or take some action upon products, ideals, or services. It includes the name of a product or
service and how that product or service could benefit the consumer, to persuade a target market to
purchase or to consume that particular brand. These brands are usually paid for or identified through
sponsors and viewed via various media. Advertising can also serve to communicate an idea to a large
number of people in an attempt to convince them to take a certain action.

Commercial advertisers often seek to generate increased consumption of their products or services
through branding, which involves the repetition of an image or product name in an effort to associate
related qualities with the brand in the minds of consumers. Non-commercial advertisers that spend
money to advertise items other than a consumer product or service include political parties, interest

groups, religious organizations and governmental agencies. Nonprofit organizations may rely on free
modes of persuasion, such as a public service announcement.

Modern advertising developed with the rise of mass production in the late 19th and early 20th
centuries. Mass media can be defined as any media meant to reach a mass amount of people. Different
types of media can be used to deliver these messages, including traditional media such as newspapers,
magazines, television, radio, outdoor or direct mail; or new media such as websites and text messages.
Advertising may be placed by anadvertising agency on behalf of a company or other organization.
